Advanced Signal Processing
The N-600x Pulse Oximeter has been designed with the implementation of latest Nellcor™ signal processing technology that is proven to provide superior measurement capabilities even under difficult monitoring conditions. It ensures accurate SpO2 and pulse rate readings at all times and under various degrees signal interference including low perfusion and patient motion. The device features 1% to 100% SpO2 and 20 to 250 bpm measurement range along with 0.03% to 20% perfusion range. As a result N600x delivers a dependable solution that every professional can depend on.
True Versatility
The Oximeter is intended as a highly versatile device and therefore it is compatible with a full line of OxiMax sensors. Advanced compatibility allows a wider range of patient monitoring options, expending them from neonates through adults. Ability to use OxiMax SpO2 forehead or nonadhesive sensors give you options for improved performance on patients with low perfusion and enhanced care for patients with fragile skin.
Excellent Functionality
The N-600x Monitor comprises a high quality LED display that brings unit operation and use convenience to a distinctively new level. The conveniently located visual indicators provide comprehensive information on monitoring progress and Oximeter settings. Numerous display modes allow viewing various trend data types and plethysmographic waveform. Customizable alarms include visual and audible signals for high/low saturation and pulse rate, a SatSeconds alarm management and a low battery, sensor disconnect status. The SatSeconds alarm management function allows for a smoother and much more efficient SpO2 monitoring. This function not only allows for setting upper and lower alarm limits, but also for setting the monitoring limits of %SpO2 level below the selected lower alarm limit and above the selected upper alarm limit for a period of time before an audible alarm sounds. In addition, the N-600x has a capability of storing up to 48 hours of 4-second trend data or 24 hours of 2-second trend data which may include up to 50 alarm limit changes. The stored data can be transferred to a portable PC or downloaded to a printer to obtain a hard copy.
Compact & Simple Design
The N-600x Pulse Oximeter features a compact design that simplifies transportation and safes space. The monitor measures 3.3"H x 10.4"W x 6.8 "D and features an integrated carrying handle. In addition, the Oximiter incorporates a user-friendly interface with functional alarm buttons that are easy to locate and assess.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Nellcor™ N-600x Pulse Oximeter?
The Nellcor™ N-600x Pulse Oximeter is a bedside oxygen saturation (SpO₂) monitor designed for continuous, noninvasive monitoring of arterial oxygen saturation and pulse rate. It utilizes Nellcor™ OxiMax™ signal processing technology to provide reliable measurements during patient motion and low perfusion conditions. The N-600x is commonly used in hospitals, surgery centers, intensive care units, emergency departments, skilled nursing facilities, sleep labs, and other healthcare environments requiring dependable pulse oximetry monitoring.
What parameters does the Nellcor N-600x monitor?
The Nellcor N-600x monitors:
- Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂)
- Pulse Rate
- Plethysmographic waveform
- Trend data
- Sensor status and signal quality information
The monitor provides SpO₂ measurements from 1% to 100% and pulse rate measurements from 20 to 250 beats per minute (bpm).
What is Nellcor OxiMax™ technology?
Nellcor OxiMax™ technology is an advanced pulse oximetry platform designed to improve measurement accuracy during challenging monitoring conditions, including patient motion, low perfusion, and difficult signal environments. It uses advanced signal processing algorithms to help clinicians obtain reliable oxygen saturation and pulse rate measurements.
Is the Nellcor N-600x suitable for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients?
Yes. The Nellcor N-600x is designed for use with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients when used with the appropriate Nellcor OxiMax sensors. It can be used in hospitals, hospital-type facilities, intra-hospital transport, and certain home healthcare environments.
Can the Nellcor N-600x monitor patients during movement?
Yes. The N-600x incorporates Nellcor OxiMax signal processing technology designed to maintain reliable SpO₂ and pulse rate measurements during patient motion. This makes it suitable for a wide range of clinical situations where patient movement may affect traditional pulse oximeters.
What sensors are compatible with the Nellcor N-600x?
The N-600x is compatible with Nellcor OxiMax sensors, including reusable and disposable sensors designed for adult, pediatric, infant, and neonatal applications. Sensor selection depends on patient size, clinical application, and monitoring requirements.
What is SatSeconds™ alarm management?
SatSeconds™ is an alarm management feature designed to help reduce unnecessary SpO₂ alarms by considering both the amount and duration of oxygen desaturation events. Instead of triggering an alarm immediately for every brief SpO₂ fluctuation, the system evaluates the severity and duration before activating an alert.
Does the Nellcor N-600x display a pleth waveform?
Yes. The N-600x provides a plethysmographic waveform display along with numeric SpO₂ and pulse rate values. This allows clinicians to evaluate signal quality and patient monitoring status in real time.
How much trend data does the N-600x store?
The Nellcor N-600x can store up to 48 hours of 4-second trend data or 24 hours of 2-second trend data, depending on configuration. Stored information can be reviewed and transferred for documentation purposes.
How long does the battery last?
The internal battery provides approximately 7 hours of operation under typical conditions, allowing temporary transport monitoring and bedside mobility without continuous AC power.
